I got a shrimp taco and a barria (shredded beef) taco. I changed the barria to have lettuce, tomato, and cheese. I put spicy taco sauce on it. I put the creamy jalapeno sauce on the shrimp (just a little). They were both stuffed with meat and VERY delicious! Very clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Highly recommended! I will definitely come here again!

Great steak and pastor tacos. Fajitas and Huaraches are very good too. Great food and pretty authentic Mexican food.

By the time I got home my takeout was cold but the enchilada mole was still so good! I love a good mole and since every family has a slightly different recipe, I want to try them all. I cannot imagine how it will taste fresh in the restaurant. It came with guac salad (usually an upcharge) and rice. I’m still eating it now and it is so good.

This is a gem of a spot! Hands down BEST birria tacos we have ever had. Everything we ate was amazing and the staff was super friendly! I also want to point out that this place is super clean! As soon as a customer was done or left the table was cleared and wiped down within minutes. Most definitely will be coming back.

We stopped here on a whim from KY to MI. Best decision ever!! The specialty tacos were the same price as street tacos so we got 8 of the specialty and a horchata drink. The mango talapia was so wonderfully flavored and the spicy shrimp was delicious savory spice with cheese. Every of the taco was got was delicious! They do not skimp on the meat or shrimp and every taco was packed full! We were well fed to continue our journey

Authentic Flavors and an Unforgettable Meal! Emilio’s Mexican Restaurant in Louisville delivered a five-star experience from start to finish. The beef nachos were absolutely outstanding—piled high, perfectly seasoned, and generously topped. What really set them apart was the house hot sauce—bold, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat to kick things up a notch. The Carne Asada street tacos on soft flour tortillas were next-level. The steak was tender and well-marinated, and every bite was packed with flavor. You can tell they care about getting the details right. To finish it all off, the sopapilla was warm, sweet, and the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and drizzled just right—it sealed the deal. If you’re in Louisville and craving authentic Mexican food done right, Emilio’s is the place to go. Highly recommended!

The food was very flavorful! I just need to start with that. Because we've been to many restaurants where it smells so good, but the flavor just doesn't hit the same. The food was good! I got an original frozen lime margarita, and it was delicious, very boozy.Just how I like it! It was a little odd, though. Usually when you go to a restaurant, you go straight to your seat and a waiter comes to you.But here you go up to the counter.Grab your menu, take a look and then order at the counter. Not complaining, just didn't have a heads up, so we kinda sat there looking silly for a minute. We will definitely be going back!
